The Solaris Story

I had always admired the Whippet. They are such an aesthetic and athletic breed After much study of the breed I purchased my first Whippet in 1997. Her show career was not as I had hoped, and she retired from the show ring lacking one major to finish her championship. She remains a true beauty with a gentle and loving soul.

Time passed and I continued my study of the breed and of local breeders. I set my sights on the elusive Daniel Lockhart of famed Saxon Shore Whippets. Eventually I won Daniel's trust and in the fall of 2000, he called to let me know that he had planned a very special litter and there might be something wonderful for me. Ultimately there were 2 something wonderfuls!! I was able to obtain litter sisters that were the beginning of my joyous ride into Whippetdom. These girls are Multiple Group Winning Multi-select Am/Can Ch. Brushwood Saxon Shore Phoenix (Fia) and Ch. Saxon Shore Brushwood BelAnge (Bella).
